Congratulations! It is our pleasure to officially invite your group to participate in the 2023 AES 500 Festival Parade scheduled for Saturday, May 27, 2023. 
 
Every May, the world turns its focus on Indianapolis. Beaming with civic pride and radiating a racing spirit, together we can present a city that shines bright at the forefront of a cutting edge world. This year’s parade theme, Fueling May, celebrates the people, traditions, history, and the memories that bring the spirit of May to life. May in Indianapolis is more than just a month. It is a tradition, celebration, and spectacle like no other. We are very excited to share more details with you as they are finalized.  
 
Below, please review the action items required for your participation in the parade: 
 
Due by April 15: 
1.	SCRIPT INFORMATION 
a.

a. Complete this script form. The information you submit will help us to create the scripts for our announcers to read over a public address system as you travel throughout the parade route. 
Due by May 1: 
1.	PARTICIPATION WAIVERS 
All Parade participants are required to submit a waiver. 
a. For participants age 18+ 
i.	Instruct all group participants aged 18 or older to complete and submit the online waiver by May 1.  
3.	
a.	b. For participants under age 18

i.	A physical waiver with a parent or guardian signature is required. The PDF waiver is attached to this email and must also be returned by May 1. 
ii.	Please submit the completed forms to me by email, or mail to the 500 Festival (21 Virginia Ave, Suite 500, Indianapolis, IN 46204). 
2.	CERTIFICATE OF INSURANCE

a.	a. Each unit is required to submit a Certificate of Insurance to the 500 Festival. See the attached form for further instructions. 
Parade Tickets 
Tickets for the 2023 AES 500 Festival Parade will go on sale to the public on March 21. To purchase tickets please visit our website: https://www.500festival.com/parade/parade-tickets/. For orders over 50 tickets, please call the ticketing hotline at 317-614-6400.
